Sudeley Angus & Sheep genetics is owned by Andrew & Anna Laing along with their two daughters Harriet & Georgie.

Sudeley Genetics is a combination of Angus cattle and Maternal & Terminal sheep genetics with the same breeding philosophy, breeding a base of strong, even conformationally correct, productive dams that are the foundation of any profitable sheep and beef operation.

All breeding stock including a large commercial sheep operation are run at Springvale, a 2500 acre hill property on the Banks Peninsula where we are based, and all youngstock are run on the 350 acre finishing unit at Irwell enabling them to be grown out to their potential.

For us farming is about having conformationally correct stock suited to our hill country that year in year out do the ‘grind’ but they also have all the genetic potential for growth and carcass attributes to be expressed if that farming environment allows. 

We have an open door policy and thoroughly enjoy visitors to Springvale and Irwell to show and discuss our breeding program. 

We pride ourselves on honesty & integrity and no bullshit backup service for our bulls & rams. Since 2017 we have invested heavily into Genomic technology with all recorded Cattle & Sheep as we believe it is our duty as breeders to provide all available science and information to give the most accurate EBV’s we possibly can.
